Digits in a cage add to the indicated sum.
Cells that half-appear in a cage only contribute half their value to its sum. Cells that quarter-appear in a cage only contribute a quarter of their value to its sum.
The cages in boxes 2/4/6/8 have integer sums that must be determined.
Digits appear at most once in the same cage, where half-appearing twice counts as appearing once.

Parity and halves and quarters, oh my! A great use of this ruleset, I'm sure there will be more...

wow. I absolutely loved this puzzle. It is probably the longest it's taken me and I had a couple false starts with the math, but the creativity in the setting kept me pushing forward. Please keep exploring this variant.

Yep, you opened that can of tangram worms, Michael. Even with me overlooking Florian's additional quarter-cell rule for the first few minutes, I still completed this puzzle in under a half-hour.

Thank you for this wonderful Tangram killer puzzle, Florian Wortmann! In the beginning, I was a little afraid it could become too technical but that was never the case. The logic always felt intuitively approachable and the arrangement of the Tangram pieces is just beautiful. Impressive setting!

So glad to see someone do a tangram puzzle! Beautifully executed, very smooth solve.
The quarter cage idea is a great innovation; I'd initially thought it'd make the math too hard, but it's not bad once you wrap your head around it, and creates some really interesting logic.
