Secret ingredients

(Published on 17. March 2024, 09:33 by sujoyku)

This killer sudoku has an important extra condition: Two killer cages with the same total may not have any digits in common. I like to thank CaptZebraCakes for testing and wish you happy solving!

- Normal sudoku rules apply.

- Killer cages: Digits in a cage do not repeat and sum to the clue in the top left.

Important extra condition: If two killer cages have the same total, they may not have any common digit.

Example: If a 10-cage contains the digit 3, no other 10-cage may contain a 3.

Beautiful puzzle! I found it more challenging than a normal 2* to get started but had a beautiful flow once it got going and some lovely deductions

**
Thank you for your comment, Corner to! I can very much relate with you saying that the break-in felt a little harder. I think new variants (or here: modifications to a well-known variant) often require you to first adapt to the new nature of the ruleset. Anyhow, I am glad that you liked the flow of the puzzle and the deductions in the solve.

Great puzzle! The slight modifier to the killer rule allowed for some really cool deductions. I really enjoyed this one :)

Thank you for the comment, CaptZebraCakes! When setting, I also found it interesting, how much impact this "little addition" to the rules proves to have. It is nice that you enjoyed this logic as well.
