- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Diagonal: On the indicated diagonal digits do not repeat.
- Arrows: Digits on an arrow sum to the digit in the circle from which the arrow emerges.
ALL clues outside the grid are both X-sum and Sandwich clues.
- X-sum: An X-sum clue indicates the sum of the first X digits in the respective row or column where X is the first digit seen from the clue.
- Sandwich: A Sandwich clue indicates the sum of all digits between 1 and 9 in the respective row or column.

In fact, the restrictive power of combined X-sum and Sandwich clues is stronger than also I had foreseen before constructing this variant.

I have to say that I really liked the dual clues outside the grid. While the puzzle wasn't easy easy, it offered enough clues that you always had some new place to look for and that is what I appreciate in a puzzle.
