Warming Sets

(Published on 10. March 2024, 19:04 by Teal)

Place a subset of the digits 1-9 in each row, column and box (you can use different sets for different regions)
Digits cannot repeat in rows, columns, or boxes. The sum of Row 6 is lesser than the sum of Row 5, which is lesser than the sum of Row 4, and so on (indicated by the thermometer)

Box borders separate the blue Region Sum line (as in r1c3-6) into segments which sum to the same amount.
Red entropy lines (as in r1c1-3) must contain an equal number of low (1,2,3) middle (4,5,6) and high (7,8,9) digits.
Adjacent digits on green German Whisper lines (as in r5c3-5) must differ by at least 5.
Digits on the arrow sum to the attached circle.
Black Kropki dots separate digits with a 1:2 ratio.

Very nice puzzle. The thermo on the side leads to some interesting logic.

The interaction between the vertical clues and the horizontal clues (ie the row sums) was actually quite pretty, and not entirely straightforward. Lovely puzzle!

Thanks for setting this beautiful puzzle. I enjoyed that a lot and it was surprisingly tricky for a 2 star but that might just be me starting at the wrong clues :)
