Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Each number outside the grid is a little killer/x-sums clue: The first x digits along the indicated diagonal sum to the clue, where x is the first digit the arrow points to. If x exceeds the number of cells in the direction, the sum bounces off the edge at a 90-degree angle and continues. (For example, if R9C8 is a 4, the 31 clue includes R9C8, R8C9, R7C8, and R6C7.)

I think the rules should read "bounces at 90 deegree angle"
A 45 deegree angle would go to
R9C8->R8C9->R8C8->R8C7
