I tinkered with a new line constraint, the MinVar line. The possibilities are endless, feel free to use it for your own puzzles! :)
Rules:Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Enter correct digits to lift the fog.
All lines are MinVar lines: Uncircled digits on a MinVar line have to appear in a circle on that line. All lines have exactly 3 circles.
Solve online:Solution code: Row 9 (9 digits)

Break-in took a while for me but once I realized some implications of the rules it was more or less smooth sailing, minus a few obvious sudoku deductions I missed and some further rules I didn't fully appreciate until the end. It's a miracle I got as far as I did without noticing a few things

Very nice and logic walk through the fog with this new line - thank you for setting it so enjoyable!

Very interesting constraint, and a well-designed and underrated puzzle!

It might be better to say, "Any digit which appears on a MinVar line must appear in a circle somewhere along that line."
Terrific puzzle, and I enjoyed the new constraint once I wrapped my head around it.

Took me a while to appreciate the intricacies of this constraint. It sounded like a rule set that would unwind fairly quickly but that is a foolish assumption! Wonderful bits of logic from start to finish. Hope to see more puzzles with this constraint. Thank you, Nurator!

Lovely puzzle, clean interactions to grow the lines through the fog

I agree - this puzzle is woefully underrated. Discovering the different implications of this rule set was very enjoyable.

3* is usually outside my skill level, but I wanted to give this a go since it was a new constraint. Was actually pretty approachable, though still took me 30 mins.
Super fun and works nicely in conjunction with fog.
