1956 ⟶ 2024 = 68!

(Published on 23. February 2024, 18:01 by Stargazing Albatross)

For my father's birthday I wanted to set a sudoku with his birthyear and his new age, however I ended up setting three puzzles instead... They all share the same ruleset, and there is a slight increase in difficulty. This is the first puzzle. (links to two and three)

Enjoy! :-)

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Anti-Knight: Cells separated by a knight's move (in chess) cannot contain the same digit.

Non-consecutive: Orthogonally adjacent cells cannot contain consecutive digits.

The puzzle:

Solution code: Row 5 (left to right)

As another member of the '56 club, thanks for the fun puzzle. I'm sure your father enjoyed it. I know I did.

Very nice puzzle and very nice gesture to honor your father. Tell him "Happy Birthday" from me. He and I were both born in 1956!
