Shade some cells so that in the finished puzzle cells containing values exactly one greater than an immediate neighbour (diagonal or orthogonal) within their box are shaded (and otherwise unshaded).
The shading pattern must have left-right symmetry.
Values in cells with arrows give the number of shaded cells in the indicated direction. All possible arrows are given.
Solution code: Row 5

This one was still super beautiful but it felt like a smooth breeze to me compared to Female of the Species. Not sure how much that is that Yin Yang coloring is harder vs how much it is that this is like my 8th AtK puzzle in 3 days so I'm really comfortable with that logic.
Either way this is yet another beautiful one.
---"A breeze"? You're getting too good. Thanks for the comment and the solve.---ATK

Well I stuck with it and finally got there! What a journey but so very enjoyable. Loved the challenge and I think one of the harder ones I’ve solved. Thanks atk.

Really fun! Not so difficult to make progress, although I found it really easy to make mistakes and had to restart a couple of times

A masterpiece. Maybe this is the best one of your shady puzzles - until now. Thank you so much for setting and sharing it.

What a great puzzle! This will definetly join my all time favorites.
The logic arround the arrows and the symmetry is really stunning and works so well with the shading rule.
This puzzle is quite the challenge, but each deduction is really rewarding.
Brilliantly done and so much fun to solve. Take a deep bow.

Absolutely loved how the constraints interacted. So many satisfying deductions to be made along the way. This was challenging, but I never felt stuck (if anything, this might be the most approachable shading puzzle I've seen from ATK so far).

What a beautiful new rule! The way the arrows and symmetry work together is lovely, this might be my favorite variation on the shading rule.
