On and off (8x8 Rellik/Whispers/Nabner sudoku)

(Published on 16. February 2024, 14:54 by sujoyku)

In this 8x8 sudoku I have combined Rellik Cages with Whispers and Nabner lines. To avoid a possible misunderstanding: In the technical sense, the whispers lines are Dutch whispers, i.e. adjacent digits on such a line must have a difference of at least 4. Out of personal preference, I have chosen to make them green anyways. As most often recently, I am grateful to CaptZebraCakes for testing the puzzle. The difficulty could be around 3/5. Please feel free to write in the comments how you estimate this and how you like the puzzle. I wish you happy solving!

- Normal irregular 8x8 Sudoku rules apply, i.e. each row, column and region has to contain the digits from 1 to 8.

- Rellik Cages: All cages are Rellik Cages. Any combination of one or more digits within a Rellik Cage CANNOT sum to the value in the top left.

Example: A Rellik Cage with given value 6 may not contain 1

- Whispers lines: Adjacent digits on a green line must have a difference of at least 4.

- Nabner lines: The golden lines are Nabner lines, i.e. on a golden line there may not be consecutive or repeated digits.

Example: If a 5 lies on a Nabner line, this line may not contain another 5 and neither a 4 nor a 6.
