The Two's Blues

(Published on 16. February 2024, 05:03 by ark29)

This is my first attempt at creating a "line" puzzle. Not sure how difficult it is. I estimate around 1.5/5 but I could be off. Any feedback is welcome.

Normal sudoku rules apply (fill 1-9 in every row, column, and 3x3 box)

Normal X/V rules apply (V separates digits that sum to 5 and X separates digits that sum to 10. Not all X's and V's are given)

Adjacent digits on the blue line differ by EXACTLY 2

You can play the sudoku here

Solution code: Row 7 followed by column 8

This was a very gentle introduction to this ruleset. It was a quick solve for me, but I appreciated being able to spend a few minutes getting to know the ins and outs of this restriction.

A good exercise about how parity works. 1 out of 5

Such a thrill

This was very easy tbh. The rule set is just so restrictive where figuring out one number instantly solves bunch more.

Nothing wrong with that, but I'd almost give this like 0,5/5 on the scale people use here.

Fun puzzle, but really hard to see blue digits/pencil marks in the same cells as a blue line.

I quite liked this constraint and the puzzle

Very fun little puzzle. Break in was smooth, and the line constraint helped everything fall into place for the second half. Definitely a 1-1.5.
