- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- In every box except the central box, every digit from 2 to 8 must connect orthogonally to digits with both higher and lower values than itself within the same box as itself.
For example, if a 3 were to be in R1C9, then the cells R1C8 and R2C9 must contain both a value lower than 3 and a value higher than 3.
