Chi va Peano va Sano
(Published on 28. January 2024, 14:57 by Arlo Lipof)
This puzzle is a tribute to the great Italian mathematician
Giuseppe Peano (1858-1932). He is best known for his space-filling curve, the
Peano curve, and for his axioms of the natural numbers, the
Peano axioms. Both appear in the grid below (the line corresponds exactly to the second iteration of the Peano curve.)
Rules:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- Non-consecutive rule. Digits in orthogonally adjacent cells cannot be consecutive.
- Rotational symmetry. Digits in cells (R,C) and (10-R,10-C) always sum to 10.
- Entropy variant. Along the line:
- any run of 4 cells contains at least one low digit ({1,2,3}), one medium digit ({4,5,6}) and one high digit ({7,8,9});
- any run of 2 cells contains digits of 2 different subsets (low, middle, high).
