Entropia: Red Wall

(Published on 16. January 2024, 11:05 by Mad-Tyas)

What happens if you take my extremely difficult puzzle "Miracle in Entropia", position the skyscraper clues slightly differently, and add a short parity line?
You get another amazingly minimalist construction. But this time even with a very elegant and consistent solution path without very difficult steps.

Rules:

Sudoku: Fill every row, column and marked 3x3 box with the digits 1-9.

Skyscraper: Consider each digit in the grid as a building of that height. Clues outside the grid give the number of buildings that can be seen from that direction, with larger buildings hiding smaller ones.

Parity Line: Along the red line digits must alternate between even and odd.

Entropy: Each 2x2 box in the grid has to contain a low digit (1, 2, 3), a middle digit (4, 5, 6) and a high digit (7, 8, 9).

Have fun solving!

I started the Miracle in Entropia, unfortunately was stuck and gave this one a try. It was a joy to solve and maybe, just maybe I can solve the Miracle some time. :)
Thanks for constructing this beauty, Mad-Tyas!

Beautiful throughout, and I loved the final disambiguation step. It seemed much easier than the miracle one, but was possibly helped by my learning a lot in attempting the miracle one.

Gorgeous puzzle, one of my favorite entropy puzzles so far! (and that's right after the experience of the previous monstrous one xD)
Everything just clicks so well together despite the sparse amount of clues, even the parity line was well placed too :)
