No Name Sudoku

(Published on 8. February 2024, 12:00 by kierownik)

  1. Normal 9x9 sudoku rules apply: In every row, column and in every 3x3 box the digits from 1 to 9 have to appear atleast once with no repeats.
  2. XV-Pairs: Cells joined by an X or V must sum to 10(X) or 5(V).
  3. Difference kropki: Cells with a white kropki between them are consecutive.
  4. Ratio kropki: Cells with a black kropki between them are in a ratio of 1 to 2. Wich means you have the following posibilities, 1-2, 2-4, 4-8 and 3-6.
  5. Entropic line(SALMON): Every 3 consecutive cells along an entropic line must contain a low digit (1-2-3), middle digit(4-5-6) and high digit(7-8-9).
  6. Parity line(ORANGE): Digits along a parity line alternate between a odd digit and an even digit.
  7. Modulo 3 line(RED): Every 3 consecutive cells along a 3-modular line must contain a complete set of residuals modulo 3. i.e: one digit from (1-4-7), one digit from (2-5-8) and one digit from (3-6-9).

That was quite fun and approachable. It served as a nice introduction to entropic, parity, and 3-modular lines! it would be nice to see a colorblind-friendly version of this puzzle, though the shades of red and orange do look beautiful together. Maybe the ruleset could be adapted to specify which cages contain each type of line.

Thank you for this very nice puzzle, kierownik! The combination of different lines, XV and Kropki was good fun to figure out. As there is so much to keep track off, I have given 2/5 difficulty.

Yes, correct.

colours are hard...
I'm assuming 'salmon' is the light brown looking lines on b1,b3,b7,b9?
and that orange is the three horizontal lines in b2 and b8...
please correct me if I'm wrong.
