Dutch Flat Mates (Arrows)

(Published on 17. January 2024, 11:30 by Flinty)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

5's live in Dutch Flats
All 5's in the grid must strictly have EITHER; a '1' directly above it AND/OR a '9' directly below it. It may have both, but it doesn't need both.
Examples provided below on an empty grid.

Arrows
The value of digits along an arrow must sum to the value of the digit in the corresponding circle. Digits may repeat if allowed by other sudoku rules.

Quite funny how the difficulty changed during the solve. Starting with the feeling that it was very easy which gradually changed into easy, not so easy, huh.., etc. Very nice puzzle. Thanks.

Absolutely my favourite series. Always surprising how you manage to weave the Dutch Flat Mates rule into the rest of the logic as an integral part of the solve.

I asked for this variant and I was not disappointed by the result. You always have nice break in ideas with a nice use of the dutch flat mate constraint.
