Zipper Insert Pin
(Published on 5. January 2024, 17:00 by ViKingPrime)
PUZZLE:
RULES:
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
•
Diagonal: Digits along each diagonal must not repeat.
•
Kropki: White dots separate consecutive digits.
•
Region Sum (
blue): The sum of the digits on a Region Sum line is the same for each box it occupies (
this value may be different for different lines).
MODIFIER:
•
Zippermania: Each line also acts as a Zipper line, wherein digits an equal distance from the center must sum to the digit in the middle of that line.
INTRODUCTION:
I'd recommend tackling the other entries before this one; the unwritten rules for Region Sum Zippers are a bit more flexible than with the other lines (though if you feel the urge to jump in then by all means, should still be approachable regardless).
Also, you may have noticed we've been methodically working our way through different line logic. We're working our way up to something a bit more intricate and (I'm hoping) a whole lot more fun - stay tuned!

Very good! I'm loving the Zippermania series. I had just solved Reindeer, so I knew how to get started. The diagonals were a nice addition. They kept things interesting in the second half after I had the zippers mostly filled in.
