Zipper Bottom Stops

(Published on 27. December 2023, 22:00 by ViKingPrime)

PUZZLE:

RULES:

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Nabner (gold): Digits along a Nabner line form a set of non-consecutive, non-repeating digits (e.g. if a 3 appears on a Nabner line, then 2 and 4 cannot appear).

MODIFIER:

Zippermania: Each line also acts as a Zipper line, wherein digits an equal distance from the center must sum to the digit in the middle of that line.

INTRODUCTION:

As with the previous entries, a bit of time at the outset thinking about the nature of these lines will yield tremendous dividends.

Here are some puzzles from other setters using the same constraint:

took me a while to wrap my head around the implications, but delightfully so.

Lovely puzzle! Not too difficult but a very smooth and delightful solve path after the break-in. Thanks for sharing.

This was beautiful. Brilliant and satisfying break-in, and crazy how it all flowed. When first looking at the grid you wonder how you will ever break in, but the options are surprisingly limited.

Found it hard though, defo 4 stars for me. But also joyous

Really fun and approachable puzzle on the interactions between two of my favorite line types.
