Mean Mega: Fractals

PUZZLE:
RULES:
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
• Renban (pink): Digits along each Renban line must be consecutive and may appear in any order.
• Sandwich: Clues outside the grid give the sum of the digits between 1 and 9 in the indicated Row or Column.
MODIFIERS:
• Mean Mega: The grid is comprised of three sets of three identical boxes (e.g. if Box 1 and Box 5 belong to the same set, R1C1 and R4C4 will be the same digit, etc).
INTRODUCTION:
I don't think these types of puzzles would ever be really challenging but you know? There's something to be said for bite-sized morsels of logic; sometimes you're not looking for a full meal.

this puzzle definitely needs a 2-digit difficulty rating (3 to figure it out, and 1 to finish). you need to be really good with sandwiches to even start. there is some nice logic here, mostly relating to clones.
