Squished Circles
Rules:
- Place digits from 1-9 in every cell such that no digit repeats in a row, column, or 3x3 region. The dashed lines indicate the boundaries of regions, and cells on the lines are simultaneously part of the regions on both sides of the line.
- A digit in a circle indicates exactly how many circles contain that digit. Circles in more than one region still only count as one circle.
- Digits separated by an X sum to 10.

Wow! After an initial feeling of being a bit miffed that somebody had posted a squished circles puzzle an hour before I posted mine (haha), I quickly got over that and immediately had to give this a go.
From setting 'Squishpers', I knew some of the tricks to look out for, but oh boy this was not a straightforward solve!
This was tricky, in all the right ways. Every time I got stuck, when I eventually found the next step it was massively satisfying.
If I'm being honest, I think I slightly prefer this to my own puzzle, in terms of how successfully and purely it explores circles logic in this new squished arena. So many cool moments make you think "ahhh the placement of that clue was genius!" It unfolded in an immensely rewarding way, and even the final disambiguation right at the end was cool, just as you think you've broken it. Definitely one of the best circles puzzles I've seen.
