During a report on the Caribbean island of San Humbugo, journalist Bill Bonaire wants to find out whether the legend that the residents are notorious liars is true. On the beach of the small island, he asks random locals about themselves and the other island residents. He finds that 2 out of 3 statements made by a resident are true, while one statement is false. By logical, step-by-step combining, filter out the false statements from the sentences below and use the true statements. Correctly match the first names of the islanders of San Humbugo with their last name, age and pets.
Andres says: “My last name is not Jamay. Rico owns 15 iguanas. The Nevis resident is 3 years older than the owner of the opossum.”
Dominik says: “I am 42 years old. Andres is 3 years younger than the resident Grenado. The parrot owner’s last name is one letter longer than the 34-year-old’s last name.”
Lucius says: “I own 4 animals more than the 39-year-old. Andrew is 31 years old. The owner of the 15 iguanas is 4 years older than Marten.”
Marten says: “Dominik’s last name is Nevis. The islander Caymen is not 35 years old. The owner of the parrots is not 45 years old.”
Rico says: “I am not 3 years older than resident Jamay. The resident Caymen's first name is not Lucius. The resident Grenado does not own raccoons.”
Vincent says: “I'm not exactly 39 years old. The owner of the iguanas is called Grenado. The number of pets owned by the 42-year-old is higher than the number of pets owned by the resident Barbadu.”
A local clam diver says: “The people of San Humbugo always tell the truth. The owner of the raccoons is older than Dominik. The 45-year-old's number of pets is 4 higher than the number of pets owned by resident Caymen.“
Solution code: for the first 3 first names in alphabetical order: the first letter of the first name, the age and the number of animals, all without spaces, e.g. "A3112D457L3419"
