The invisible snakes just won't let me go...

RULES:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Each purple line is a renban line, which contains a set of non-repeating consecutive digits. These digits can appear in any order.
- Along the shape of a thermometer, digits must increase from the bulb end.
- All cells without a given clue (ie. all cells that are not part of a renban line or a thermometer) are part of a hidden german whisper snake. The snake is a 1-cell wide path of orthogonally and diagonally connected cells. The snake is allowed to touch itself orthogonally and diagonally and can even cross itself with two diagonals in a 2x2 area. (See example below.) However, it is not allowed to use a cell twice on its way through the grid. Along the snake, digits in each pair of adjacent cells must differ by at least 5.
NOTE: Make sure to enable the Pen Tool in the settings to draw the snake and keep track of its occupied cells. It may also be useful to color all non-snake cells with one color right at the beginning. :)

After the second try, the error is out now.
It was a great puzzle, which is really more of a difficult 4, maybe even a 5.
The break-in was not so easy to spot. I had solved a lot of loop puzzles before, so it's important to forget that. A snake has two open ends. So the first task was to find out where they could be.
Really great. Hats off!
