Parity Myx'er
(Published on 27. November 2023, 02:00 by XeonRisq)
This puzzle is based off Myxo's puzzle : Odd Blossom, which was featured on BremSter's YT channel.
If you have not yet seen the video, it is well worth the watch and can be seen here: Odd Blossom
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- The grid is to be divided up into orthogonally connected groups of cells, which must include exactly one circle each.
- The digit in a circle indicates the size of it's region.
- If the digit in a circle is odd, then all of the cells in its region must be odd. And the same is true for even digits. If two cells with the same parity share a border, they must be in the same region.
- Cells in cages may not be included in a circle's region, nor will they contribute toward connectivity. Cages can be viewed as out of bounds or neutral zones.
- Killer Cages: Numbers must sum to the given total in the top left corner.
- Sandwich: A number outside the grid indicates the sum of the numbers between 1 and 9 in that row or column.
- Below is an example of circle cells and their regions for boxes 1,2,4, and 5:

A lovely tribute, although the difficulty is a lot higher than mine haha :)

Glad you enjoyed it. As far as difficulty, wasn't that always expected?! And of course I do appreciate the solve and feedback.

I thought the same thing when I watched Myxo's predecessor on BremSter's YT channel. I thought that more could be done with the idea, so I pushed the boundaries a bit. Really appreciate the solve and feedback.
