Chess Loops
(Published on 25. November 2023, 23:56 by ChiefOfHearts)
Normal Sudoko rules apply.
Digits represent chess pieces: there is 1 King, 3 Queens, and 5 Pawns. Kings cannot be within a King's move in chess from each other.
Draw 2 one-cell-wide loops of orthogonally connected cells that do not intersect or branch. The loops may move diagonally along the indicated diagonal only, but only consecutive cells on the loop may touch adjacently.
- One loop is comprised entirely of Queens, and must have an equal number of each.
- The other loop contains all 9 Kings and 1 of each Queen. Segments between Kings on the loop are treated as Renban Lines (Pawns must appear in consecutive groups along the loop)
Arrows: digits on the line of an arrow must sum to the value in the base of the arrow. Additionally, arrows point from Queens to Loop.
Diagonal: digits may not repeat along the indicated diagonal. Additionally, Queens that reflect across the diagonal must be exact. (Ex. If a queen is in r9c1, and another queen is in r1c9, the two Queens must have the same value.)
