Copperhead (German Whisper Snake)
(Published on 22. November 2023, 15:17 by Video Floral)
It's been a while since I uploaded my last puzzle. But this one has almost the same ruleset as the last one.
This puzzle is available online via F-Puzzles
RULES:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- Cells separated by a V sum to 5. Cells separated by a VX sum either to 5 or 10. (Negative constraints APPLY! If cells do NOT have a V or a VX between them then they can NOT sum to 5 or 10.)
- There is a 'german whisper snake' hidden in the grid. The snake is a 1-cell wide path of orthogonally-connected cells. The snake never touches itself orthogonally but may touch diagonally. (It never ‘doubles back’ to cover a full 2x2 region.) Along the snake, digits in each pair of orthogonally-adjacent cells must differ by at least 5.
- The four digits of the two given V-pairs are snake-clues. They are not part of the snake but indicate how many of the horizontally, vertically and diagonally adjacent cells are part of the snake.
Solution code: Column 1 (from top to bottom), then row 9 (from left to right)

Could you provide a CtC link? F-puzzles is barely functional on mobile devices. …never mind, solved it!
