Thermocagules

The rules are as follows:

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Digits in cages must sum to the total in the top left hand corner of the cage. Digits may not repeat within cages. Additionally, digits within cages increase in value starting from the bottom-left of the cage as if there is an invisible thermometer in the cage beginning at the bottom/left/bottom-left most cell of the cage. Example, the "thermo" in box 3 7-cage increases from the bottom-most cell. The "thermo" in the box1/2 10-cage starts in the left-most cell.

Very nice elegant puzzle. I agree with Puzzle Weasel - you could just draw thermos in each cage, which would look quite striking and make the rules a lot less wordy. Or you could even just do away with the cages, just have thermos which have a small total written on the bulb cell. Regardless though, great puzzle

Thanks for this! I loved this combination of thermos inside killer cage. Now I'd love to see one where solving does not start so quickly with (almost) completely determined contents of cages.

Nice puzzle, but I do wonder why you didn't just draw the thermos in, rather than trying to explain in words where they go.
