Inspired by recent Distance sudokus by clover, I realized the ruleset could match well with X-clues. It was a lot of fun setting a puzzle with this amount of flexibility and I look forward to exploring it further in combination with other rules. Normal Sudoku rules apply.
X-Distance (unordered): Digits outside the grid appear X cells away from each other in that row or column, in any order, where X is the digit in the first cell from that direction. A question mark (?) represents any digit.
Example: If R1C1 is 1, then 8 and 9 are adjacent in row 1. If R1C1 is 8, then R1C9 is 9.

A delightful rule set- a bit like Numbered Rooms, but more like Numbered Distances. Enjoyed it!

honestly one of the most clever clue placements i've ever witnessed while solving, verified banger
