Schrödinger Lines

(Published on 3. November 2023, 00:37 by Zanno)

This is my first puzzle, so any feedback is highly welcome. I really enjoyed setting it and discovering those weird restrictions, and I hope you have fun solving it!

Rules

Normal Sudoku rules apply. (Place the digits 1-9 exactly once in each row, column and box.)

Each line follows exactly 2 of the following 5 constraints (for details see below):

Renban, German Whisper, Modular, Entropic, Thermometer.

Each constraint combination is unique. (i.e. there is at most one Whisper-Thermo, at most one Modular-Renban etc.)

The < points to the smaller of the two digits around it.

The different colours are only to distinguish the lines at intersections.

Constraint explanations:
Renban: The line contains a set of non-repeating consecutive digits (not necessarily in order).
German Whisper: Adjacent digits differ by 5 or more.
Modular: Every set of three sequential digits contains one digit from {1,4,7}, one from {2,5,8}, and one from {3,6,9}.
Entropic: Every set of three sequential digits contains one digit from {1,2,3}, one from {4,5,6}, and one from {7,8,9}.
Thermometer: Digits increase from the bulb to the end. In this puzzle the solver must figure out which end is the bulb.

@sanabas: Thank you for your kind words!

@henrypijames: Uh yes, you are right! Totally missed it. Thanks for pointing it out to me!

The inequality sign has been forgotten by the rules ...

This was excellent, with a couple of great lightbulb moments before the inequality at the end to force everything into place. With hindsight, I should have used placeholders, would have been easier to keep track at the end.

Definitely recommend people try this.
