Premier League Sudoku
(Published on 29. October 2023, 21:47 by Arlo Lipof)
Matchday 15 has just been played in the English
Premier League, and here are the standings of the three top teams and three bottom teams!
Rules:
- Sudoku. Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- Premier League Table. Every club has played exactly 15 matches. Complete the boxes in columns 4–6 with the number of wins (W, worth 3 pts.), draws (D, worth 1 pt.) and losses (L, worth 0 pts.) of every team, and the boxes in columns 7–9 with the total amount of points (PTS) scored by every team. The points are in strictly decreasing order as you go down the table.
- Arrows. Digits along an arrow sum to the circled digit.
- Kropki. Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive. Not all white dots are shown.
- Nota bene. Other numbers, letters or symbols were just added to mirror the Premier League table.

Fun and creative idea for a puzzle! I'd say that this is closer to lower side of 2/5 in terms of difficulty because of some key realizations at the start but after that, the puzzle went smoothly like butter :)

Quite easy after creating the list of possible W-D-L-PTS combinations. Excel helped me a lot. :)
A: Can you blame a systematic approach? :) Thank you!
