Bangers and Mash

(Published on 2. November 2023, 05:00 by Will Power)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. ANTI WHISPERS- Numbers on red lines are EITHER CONSECUTIVE OR TWO APART from their neighbors on the line. The sum of each of the four diagonal red lines is in its top cell. The two lines that cross at the center of the puzzle are considered separate lines, but do share the center digit. The center digit is odd. Numbers do NOT repeat on red lines. KROPKI PAIRS- Numbers with a white dot between them are consecutive. Numbers with a black dot between them are in a ratio of 2:1. Numbers with a GRAY dot between them satisfy BOTH black and white dot requirements. Dots shown at a corner refer to the numbers on the diagonal line going through the dot. Not all possible dots are given. Numbers on blue lines may repeat, if other rules allow.

Lovely puzzle, really fun how some lines were just there to make it look nice and symmetric. Keeps you on your toes

formatting for the constraints is a bit unclear, especially for a willpower puzzle, could be a lot clearer

@WatermeRen After reading through the rules again, I continue to find them as clear and direct. I do acknowledge that there are new concepts that I have introduced. However, paying attention to, and understanding the ruleset is always best when approaching one of my puzzles. Thanks much for playing and commenting. Peace to you. -Will Power

Are blue lines equality lines? All it says in the rules are numbers may repeat on them, so they may as well not be there in the first place?

@asp1310 They are not equality lines. Blue lines are there for two reasons: First, the picture would be incomplete without. I know that there are several people that don't care about that, but I do. Second, the kropki dots that are on the corners of cells specifically say that they only apply to the line that goes through them (not the other diagonal). This would rightfully leave people at a loss if the blue lines were eliminated. Thanks for playing and commenting. -Will Power

Ah no that's totally fair! I totally missed the second part. I personally love decoration so long as it's not intrusive, but have noticed you specifically do usually point out when lines are just for decoration - so that's why I wanted to clarify this time, because you didn't. But like I said, I didn't notice that some of the mechanical notation only worked with some of those lines being there!
