Untitled (Region-Sum Thermos + Doublers)

(Published on 25. October 2023, 18:10 by LittleNightmaresLady)

Basically the sequel to the puzzle "I Fell Down the Waterfall". I felt as though I could've made the mid-solve/ending of this a little better, but I still hope you enjoy!

Rules:

-Normal sudoku rules apply.
-There are 9 cells, one in each row/column/box, which are doublers. For the purposes of the constraint, doublers double the value of a cell. Each digit from 1-9 is doubled exactly once.
-The blue lines with a bulb are region-sum thermos, where the sum of each segment of a line passing through boxes must strictly increase from the segment with the bulb. For example, r4c9 > r2c9+r3c9. To clarify, the r45c2 segment is a separate branch that sums to a total greater than the 5-cell bulb segment in box 1.

Very fun to solve this puzzle! I was not sure I solve it in a intended way, but I somehow get through this.

-------

The intended break-in is quite a tough one, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was alternate path. I'm glad to hear that you got through it and enjoyed it!

It was a really fun and difficult puzzle. After a misinterpretation of the stub thermo in r3c1 (from b1 to b4) and a colossal thinking error, I was able to solve it. The beginning and the end were harder for me.

------

Thanks again for solving and feedback! Glad you had fun with it!

If anybody attempted this and got confused, the sum r45c2 segment is greater than the 5-cell segment in box 1.
