Radical Signage
A 'derivative' of Square Roots by Jobo

I initially interpreted the rules of Jobo's Square Roots wrong, and this is the puzzle that might have been made with my interpretation of the rules. Enjoy!

Normal sudoku rules apply.
Along thermometers, digits must increase from the bulb end.
Digits in thermometer bulbs must be equal to the square root of the two-digit number displayed in the corresponding pill, read top-to-bottom.
Digits separated by an X must sum to 10. Not all X are given.

This is what I thought Square Roots was about as well. I broke that one the first time I played it and I broke this one the first time I played it. Quite fun. Thanks for setting and sharing!

Very funny idea! And with a great realization: the puzzle seems very easy but after a quick start it appears to be not so trivial after all, providing excitement until the end. Thanks!!

I asked my German friend if he knew the square root of 81. He said no.

Thanks for the very nice puzzle!

I had to call my old math teacher for a refresher on radicals. She helped me get everything squared away. Lots of fun. Thank you.

That was fun, good combination of rules, and there was logic from start to finish. Thanks!

I thought I had already done this puzzle today. Then I read the new rules. Great puzzle.
