Thermo Hexuro
(Published on 20. October 2023, 02:45 by Nell Gwyn)
I've been playing around with sudoku variant constraints in Hexuro puzzles to see how well they go together. Here's one I came up with.
RULES:
- Normal Kakuro rules apply, just with hexagonal cells rather than square cells (meaning: fill each empty cell with a digit from 1-9. Numbers on the dark cells indicate the sum of the digits that clue "sees" in that direction along that axis [other shaded cells block the view]. Digits cannot repeat within a group of cells on the same axis with no black hexes separating them, regardless of whether that group has a sum clue given or not).
- Digits along thermometers must increase from the bulb end.
Penpa
Solution code: Second and third rows, ignoring clue cells (e.g. 1234122345678)

Interesting interactions in this puzzle, and very weird scanning exercise for me. Very nice ! Thanks :)
