Wew, I struggled for 20 hours and then gave up. Months later I came back to give it another try and I solved the remaining bit in 20 minutes! Really needed a fresh mind there :D

That is a wonderful puzzle and not too hard once you correctly understand the rules. I find it amazing that quads can be used in such a way.
