Picky Fish
(Published on 13. October 2023, 09:08 by Geese)
Classic Aquarium rules:
- Each region delimited by thick lines is considered a single aquarium.
- Each aquarium might contain some shaded cells representing water.
- Water cells in each aquarium must belong to rows below all air cells (unshaded) in the same aquarium.
- When filling a cell with water, all the cells in the same aquarium and in the same row must also be filled with water.
- The clues at the sides of the 6x6 square tell you how many water cells are in that row/column.
Additional rules:
- Each Aquarium that is atleast 6 cells in size must contain a fish.
- Each fish will pick its own position in their aquarium following these rules:
- Fish must be in a water cell.
- No row or column can contain more than 1 fish.
- No fish can be diagonally adjacent to another fish.
- When possible, a fish will pick a cell that is directly below an air cell in their aquarium. (For optimal feeding)
Otherwise, fish will pick the lowest available cell where they can touch the bottom of the aquarium. (For getting the food that sunk to the bottom)

I'd say it is meant:
If there are air cells in the same aquarium it must be under one of them.
Otherwise it must be in a cell that shares an edge with the ground and there is no lower valid cell.
"Touch" could be in just one corner.

@CHalb: Bei dir gibt es einen Fisch, der weder ein Luftfeld, noch den Boden berührt.

Made the 4th fish rule clearer: Both the water cell with the fish and the air cell above it must belong to the same aquarium.
