Crossroads
I just recently learnt about the existence of variant sudoku puzzles and instantly grew an interest in sudoku puzzle setting. This following puzzle is one I'm finally quite confident enough to share. In an attempt to make it more widely accessible, I used different line thickness and colors from the usual all the while trying to preserve the grid design I was aiming for.
Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply: the digits 1 to 9 may only appear once each in every row, column and 3x3 box.
Renban: Digits along a broad red line must form a sequence of consecutive numbers, but can appear in any order.
Region Sum: For each broad blue line, digits on the line must have an equal sum within each box it passes through.
German Whispers: Along green narrow lines, digits must differ from their neighbors by at least 5.
Non-consecutive: Along white narrow lines, digits musn't be consecutive with their neighbors.
Twelve Sum: Each narrow purple line must consist of one or more non-overlapping groups of consective digits, each of which sums to 12. Additionally, all digits within purple circles must together sum to a multiple of 12.
Puzzle:
Solution code: Enter digits from row 3 then row 7, no space between.
