As a regular Artisinal Sudoku solver, I was surprised to find that this puzzle actually had a given! Well done regardless, it was a relaxing but still thinky solve!

Ha, well, after a lot of tinkering, I had to concede that this puzzle worked best with a given 4, and then I had to forgive myself for going against my usual preferences. Got a name out of it, at least :)

James this was spectacular. At first glance this just looked like a regular region sum puzzle - I never expected it to turn out so colourful! This puzzle is all about finding the right question to ask at the right moment... sometimes this was tricky, but it was always fun.
The way every deduction led to another was so smooth. Kind of miraculous how much work those few lines did, in constantly keeping digits narrowed down to only one place. And the logic wasn't repetitive, there was actually a lot of variety in exactly how those deductions worked.
I found it particularly pleasing how a seemingly deadly pattern was resolved.
Oh and I just got the title. Very good ;)

I loved everything about this puzzle.
Incredible looking sparse grid, the name, the fact that it plays out exactly like I expected but with lots of surprises along the way, consistent and not too hard.

I tried to do this without shading initially. Bad mistake, but I soon got into the swing of things. Very cool interactions over boxes.
