Star Killer Part 7: Life Support
(Published on 9. January 2024, 20:00 by FischmitFahrrad)
Standard Star Killer Sudoku rules apply (see below).
Additional constraints on placement of stars:
-
In each row, column and box the two stars must add up to 10.
Additional constraints on values:
-
German Whispers: Adjacent Digits on a green line must differ by at least 5.
-
Extra region: Digits on a brown line must not repeat.
Star Killer Rules:
Place exactly two stars into each row, column and box. Stars may not share an edge (no diagonal constraint!). The number in the top-left corner of a cage (if given) gives you the number of stars, that are outside of the cage and share an edge with that cage.
Digits in a cage sum to the total X. The number in the top-left corner of a cage must be equal to the digit sum of X.

This was surprisingly very easy to do for me, super cool puzzle. It took me almost no time to have the correct thoughts about the implications of each star adding up to 10. It all flowed so nicely.

Removed shading of extra regions to improve visibility of pencil marks.

The thick brown lines and the shaded cells made it a bit tedious to keep track of the pencil marks, but otherwise a fun puzzle. Thanks, @ FischmitFahrrad :).
