PUZZLE:

RULES:

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Sandwich: Clues outside the grid sum the digits sandwiched between two 'Crust' cells in that row or column, the location and value of which must be deduced by the solver (see below).

MODIFIER:

Tea Time: There are 18 Crust cells contained within the grid. Each row, column and box contain exactly two Crust cells.
Stadiometer: From left-to-right, the digits of each Crust cell indicate the row location of the Crust cells in the next column (e.g. if there are Crust cells at R1C1 and R3C1 that are a 4/8 pair, there will be Crust cells at R4C2 and R8C2).

Note: Column 1 is to be considered to be to the right of Column 9 (i.e. the Crust cells in Column 9 will index the Crust cells in Column 1).

INTRODUCTION:

A puzzle inspired by and dedicated to RockyRoer, whose insatiable appetite for sandwiches knows no bounds.

Here are the other entries in the "Stadiometer" series, for those interested:

A really cool ruleset and a very elegant execution of the puzzle! Some lovely deductions, particularly in the break-in, which wasn't easy but was super rewarding! Thank you :D
