- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Almost clones: The grey shaded areas almost are clones. Digits appear in the same relative position in each of the four areas except for one intruder cell. The cell in this relative position must contain distinct digits in each of the four grey areas and in each grey shaded area the intruder cell is in the same relative position. The position of the intruder cell has to be determined by the solver. Example: Let us assume that R2C3 is the intruder. Then the rest of the grey area forms a clone (in the usual sense), i.e. R2C2 has to contain the same digit as the cells R3C7, R7C1 and R8C6 etc. Together with R2C3 all grey shaded cells in the same relative position as R2C3 become intruders as well. Hence R2C3, R3C8, R7C2 and R8C7 are the intruder cells and must contain pairwise different digits.
- Killer cages: Digits in a cage do not repeat and sum to the clue in the top left.

Added further clarification and small examples to the "almost clone" rule. The content of the puzzle itself has not been changed. I like to thank mezkur7 who pointed out that the rules needed further explanation. I hope they are more comprehensible now. If you have further questions feel free to leave a comment.
