Graffiti: A yajilomino experience (Fillomino/Yajilin)
(Published on 22. August 2023, 04:07 by dumediat)
This is a puzzle that I created for MicroStudy's birthday, which they suggested I share with all of you. Ratings, comments, and feedback are much appreciated! Please feel free to reach out to me on Discord if you have any comments or questions. Please also feel free to try my other puzzles here.
Rules:
- Fillomino: Divide the grid into regions of size 1 to 5 so that no two regions of the same size share an edge. Enter a number into each cell equal to the size of its region. Regions are entirely shaded or entirely unshaded, and no two shaded regions may share an edge.
- Yajilin: Draw a single, non-intersecting loop that goes horizontally and vertically (from cell center to cell center) such that it does not travel through any shaded or arrow cell, but travels through all other cells. Digits placed on arrows refer to the number of shaded cells in the indicated direction to the edge of the grid. A cell containing multiple arrows indicates the number of shaded cells seen by each arrow in its cell, not the total of all arrows in its cell. Arrow cells may be shaded or unshaded, and each region may contain any number of arrow and/or loop cells (including 0).

Superb ! Loved it from start to finish ! Some little bumps along the road for me, as I was constantly making little shading misassumptions, but very satisfying when it all connects. Thanks !!
