Rules: Normal sudoku rules apply. Cells with outward-facing arrows must contain higher digits than their orthogonal neighbours. Cells along a purple line contain a set of consecutive, non-repeating digits in any order. Adjacent digits along green lines must differ by at least 5. Clues outside the grid give the number of cells visible from that direction, where lower digits are hidden behind higher digits. Box 5 is a magic square; every row, column and diagonal all sum to the same number.
Solution code: Row 3 followed by Row 9 (18 digits total)

First time encountering a magic square in a sudoku … it was good fun, thanks!

Fun! and well built. It might be little bit inaccessible to the neophyte but if you're experienced with any of these constraints at all, you'll find lots to recommend in this puzzle.

It seems one does not need the r1 maximum constraint. Can somebody confirm?

Fun use of maximums!
