- Skyscraper: Clues outside the grid indicate how many digits are "seen" along that row or column, with higher digits blocking lower digits from view.
For example, 532176984 would be a valid row for a skyscraper clue of 3 on either the left or the right side.

This was thoroughly delightful, very old-school. I liked the finish very much.
