LM-Übungsrätsel: Krypto-Kombination

(Published on 2. July 2023, 20:23 by CJK)

In preparation for this years german logic puzzle championship, I constructed a few puzzles which will be put online in the next few weeks.

Rules: Every letter from A to J stands for a different digit from 0 to 9. With this values, 8 puzzles have to be solved:

  • Skyscrapers (top left): Put the numbers 1 to 8 in every row and column exactly once. Numbers outside the grid indicate how many numbers are seen in the corresponding direction, where smaller numbers are blocked by higher numbers.
  • Angler (top right): Numbers outside the grid are fishermen. Every fisherman has an fishing rod with line that goes through the grid, starting by the fisherman and ending by a fish. Numbers indicate the length of the line. Every cell can be visited by at most one line. Cells are allowed to remain empty.
  • Vier Winde (semi top left): Draw horizontal and vertical rays, starting from a number. Every cell is part of exactly one ray. Numbers indicate the number of cells used by rays starting from that number (not including the cell with the number itself).
  • Cave (semi top right): Blacken some cells such that all black cells are connected with the border and all unblackened cells are connected. Numbers indicate, how many cells can be seen vertically and horizontally (including the cell with the number itself).
  • Slitherlink (semi bottom left): Draw a clowed loop along the edges. Numbers indicate how many neighboured edges are used by the loop.
  • Rekuto (semi bottom right): Divide the grid into rectangles, such that there is exactly one number in each rectangle. This number indicates the sum of width and height of the rectangle.
  • Tents (bottom left): Put a tent orthogonally next to each tree. Tents cannot touch, not even diagonally. Numbers indicate the number of tents in the corresponding row or column.
  • Snake (bottom right): Draw a snake in the grid, that doesn't touch itself, not even diagonally. Numbers indicate the number of used cells in that row or column. Both endpoints of the snake are given.

Solution code: For every puzzle (in reding direction) the third row: For skyscrapers, the numbers. For Angler and Vier Winde, I for a straight, L for a bending, X for an empty cell, T for a T-crossing, + for a +-crossing, E for an endpoint. For Cave, X for a black cell, - for a non-black cell. For Slitherlink, I for cells inside and A for cells outside. For Rekuto, the lengths of connected blocks. For Tents, X for a tent and - for a non-tent. For Snake, X for a snake cell and - for a non-snake cell.

@monday: It seems that I've missed your second comment, I'm sorry. Yes, apart from Four Winds, everything else is correct.

on 21. July 2023, 12:07 by uvo

loved the puzzle, thanks! sorry about my confusion with the solution code...

@monday: For Four Winds, your code is wrong. For example, by the rules of the puzzle, there cannot be an L at the second position of the solution code for Four Winds.

@KNT: For Four Winds, it seems like you took the wrong row. And for the snake, you mixed up the two symbols. I will clarify the answer key for the latter.

The German version has the correct image.

Hi, is this not the image for the No-Same-Sums puzzle? The penpa link seems fine, though.
