It has been long overdue that I publish a Chaos Construction puzzle. This one is inspired by KNT and Niverio, and uses the sightline ruleset. I put my own spin on it with diagonal arrows, which hopefully makes for some interesting approachable logic. The irregular sudoku aspect of the puzzle is quite challenging, but hopefully fun. Enjoy!
Rules:
Normal Chaos Construction rules apply. Divide the grid into regions of 9 orthogonally connected cells each. Fill the grid with digits 1-9, such that every row, column and region contains each digit exactly once.
Digits in cells with arrows indicate the number of of cells seen in the indicated directions combined, including itself. Cells that belong to different regions block the view.
Dinosaur Baby (example puzzle with digits 1-6):
Ariadne's Pet Dinosaur (main puzzle):
Solution code: all digits of the region containing R9C9 (row by row)

Fun and very smooth region building, then for the second time today I met that impenetrable brick wall.
In the end the irregular is fairly nice, but a couple of steps up in difficulty from the region building, at least it felt that way for me.

I really liked this puzzle! I "broke" the region construction like 5 times until I discovered I had made one wrong assumption. Then I also got stuck with the irregular sudoku. But the beauty of everything really made me come back and keep trying. It was super fun, thanks!

Really enjoyed the region building but found the irregular sudoku a struggle.

Myxo: I'm glad you enjoyed the region building. The irregular is indeed quite hard, I had considered adding extra clues but testers enjoyed the challenge. Thank you for the honest feedback!

That was plenty of fun, thanks! Should've been faster at one or two steps, but all logic were nicely done for me :)

Really enjoyed this one! Building the regions alone was it's own fun. The irregular is more difficult but it's also engaging and rewarding.

Very fun puzzle! The ending does make people think about irregular in various ways, and the opening region building logic was tons of fun!
