Copycat Copycat

Rules:
  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Place 9 'Doubler' cells in the grid so that there is exactly one Doubler in every row, column, and 3x3 box. Each Doubler cell must contain a different digit. The value of a Doubler cell is equal to twice the digit it contains.
  • Place 9 'Copycat' cells in the grid so that there is exactly one Copycat in every row, column, and 3x3 box. Each Copycat cell must contain a different digit. The value of a Copycat cell is equal to the value of the cell rotationally opposite itself in the grid, regardless of the digit in the Copycat cell. For example, if r4c3 was a Copycat cell and had 5 as its digit, and r6c7 had 1 as its value, the value of the Copycat cell in r4c3 would replicate the value of r6c7, so the value of both cells would be 1. Note that values rather than digits are copied, so if the opposite cell happened to be a Doubler, the Copycat cell would also have that doubled value.
  • Doubler and Copycat cells may not occupy the same cell, and Copycat cells may not be rotationally opposite another Copycat cell.
  • Values along a gray Slow Thermometer must generally increase from bulb to tip. Values may never decrease, but may remain the same if allowed by other rules.
  • On orange Entropic Lines, every group of 6 consecutive cells along the line must contain one value from each of the following sets: [1,2,3], [4,5,6], [7,8,9], [10,11,12], [13,14,15], and [16,17,18]. Entropic Lines that are less than 6 cells long may contain no more than one value from any set.

Very mad puzzle. The copycats + doublers made for a lot of interesting options, and these were the perfect constraints to show them off, especially the slow thermos. A lot of fun and interesting logic.
Very impressive minimalist grid as well - only 4 clues, but each used to their fullest extent.
Fairly tricky, especially to get started, and a lot of complex steps throughout.

An epic solve start to finish, the mirror cells adds so much fun to the solve but make everything so much harder!

That was just utterly bonkers, and very hard all the way to the end. Between double-length entropy lines, long thermos and doublers, that was already a lot to keep track of, without adding mirror cells into the fray, but there were also many traps and some pretty remote possibilities that certainly weren't obvious, wow! I enjoyed it, but that took some doing! How you managed to make all of this fit together in any kind of decipherable way, I have no idea XD

Thanks for making the effort to solve it! I don't normally like making my puzzles this hard, especially with such a busy ruleset, but there were some crazy interactions I wanted to play with that needed the difficulty to work. - Scojo
