I very much enjoy solving U-Bahn puzzles, and recent ones have inspired me to set one myself. I am really happy with how this puzzle turned out, although it is quite difficult. Enjoy!
Rules:
Draw a connected loop network through the centers of some cells, which may branch or turn, but must not have any dead ends.
A clue outside the grid indicates how many times the corresponding line shape (i.e. a cross, branch, straight line, or turn) appears in the corresponding row or column, irrespective of the line shape's rotation.
For each row and column, two sets of clues are given (left/right for rows, top/bottom for columns). At least one of those sets of clues must be correct, while the other may be wrong.
For example, row 6 either has 2 crossings, no turns and 1 straight line, or 2 corners and 4 crossings. Column 8 either has 3 branches, 3 straight lines, or both.
Solution code: For each row except the last, the number of lines leading down from that row

I enjoyed this, definitely 5 stars for me, a lot of scanning challenges as other solvers have noted, but very cool!

I remember taking a look at this puzzle when it was published and thinking I had not the slightest idea how it could be approached... Half a year later, it seems I have a better grasp on U-Bahn logic :) It was still a tough challenge, but very methodical, interesting and satisfying. Thanks !

Craziness. Very hard but fair.

Really fun and surprisingly smooth despite the inherent scanning difficulty of the ruleset. Thank you for making this!

haha, probably the first time I truly enjoyed u-bahn, the fact that it was liar perhaps made it easier to know where to look, still seriously hard though, but with some remarkable logic.

@KNT @Piatato many thanks for your swift replies! somehow I was totally convinced that the last row said 4 straight lines. it does not.

@Silverstep: take a look at your bottom row again.

@Silverstep Maybe you have forgot the rule that at least one set of clues must be correct?

Really challenging and rewarding puzzle! I enjoyed working my way through it :)

The scanning was really difficult (as I expected from this ruleset), but there were some very nice ideas in this puzzle. I especially liked some of the steps near the start. Overall, it was very fun, thanks!

Awesome puzzle! Although the concept of a liar u-bahn almost automatically makes for a very hard puzzle — and indeed I found ample opportunity to get stuck — it's all the more rewarding once you spot the right ideas. I had a lot of fun throughout! :D
