German Hissper

(Published on 6. June 2023, 09:38 by andreasv)

  • Normal Sudoku rules apply.

  • Digits on arrows sum to the number in the circle.

  • There is a loop of orthogonally connected cells that enters and exits all but the middle box exactly once. The loop cannot touch itself, not even diagonally.

  • Adjacent digits on the loop must have a difference of at least 5 (German whisper).

  • Arrow circles are on the loop.

I really loved this. Loops that cannot touch diagonally is a criminally underutilised constraint in my opinion. I love colouring the loop green, with inner cells being blue and outer cells being yellow because I get a nice desert oasis artpiece when I finish!

Excellent puzzle. It's fun to change gears between snake/German/arrows/Sudoku. A pleasure to solve!

Beautiful puzzle, and surprisingly, a little easier than it first appears.

I had a lot of fun with this one. The logic follows a nice path arround the grid, each deduction not too hard to spot.
