A slingshot deconstruction where empty cells can be shot. Please see the sample image, and reach out for hints!
Rules:
Deconstruction: Fill the grid with nine non-overlapping 3x3 square regions, such that each region contains the digits 1-9 once each, and no digit repeats in any row or column of the grid. Cells outside the nine regions remain empty.
Slingshot: If a cell containing an arrow is within a region, the contents of the cell that the arrow comes from (which may be empty) must appear N steps away, in the direction of the arrow. N is the digit in the arrow cell. Arrows in cells outside regions do nothing.

Neat puzzle. Probably around a 3-star if you have a lot of experience with decon puzzles, but closer to 4-4.5 stars if you have not. Solve path is clear and not janky at all.

great ruleset utilized beautifully, I got really stuck at the same place as Piatato, which is simple technically, but somewhat very hard to spot (perhaps a bit out of character?), but otherwise it felt like 3-4/5 difficulty to me

Great idea! Very smooth and fun for the most part, but with a brutal step in the middle. That logic was also very interesting, though! EDIT: It was just me being a deconstruction noob, the puzzle is not that brutal! :)

This is an impressive construction, but it was definitely a 5/5 difficulty for me. The odd ricket aside (mea culpa), I found the opening very smooth and then got quite stuck in the midsolve. The wrap up was very enjoyable though.
