- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- A gray line is one of the following, which must be determined by the solver:
- Renban: Digits on the line must be consecutive, but in any order and may not repeat.
- German Whisper: Adjacent numbers on the line must have a difference of 5 or greater.
- Region Sum: Digits on the line must have an equal sum within each region is passes through.
- Entropic: Any set of three sequential cells on the line must contain a low (123), middle (456), and high (789) digit.
- Each type of line will be used exactly once.
- Quad: White circles with black numbers specify the digits that must appear at least once in the four surrounding cells.
- Anti-Quad: Black circles with white numbers, specify the digits that cannot appear in any of the four surrounding cells.
