Tidy Up Those Lines!

(Published on 23. May 2023, 05:00 by Will Power)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. Lines have the same set of numbers, in the same order, as all other lines of the same color. No other restrictions on lines. Numbers with a white dot between them are consecutive. Numbers with a black dot between them are in a ratio of 2:1. Not all possible dots are given.

I REALLY loved this puzzle. Probably a 2.5-3 in my opinion. There are some really clever deductions that need to be made and I felt such a sense of accomplishment! It's exactly what I want out of a sudoku.

I loved this ruleset, thank you.

I enjoyed this one. I had to solve it twice because I ended up with a 1 and a 3 on a consecutive dot the first time and 1 and 3 are clearly not consecutive, but after starting over from scratch and basically solving the whole grid without any numbers (colors for the win) I was able to get to the correct solution pretty easily.

Finally got this solved, after failing at it three or four times. I finally realized I was making the same mistaken assumption that I think @metacom made, and forced myself to carefully avoid that assumption. Very cleverly done.

Just to clarify, the Z in box 9 is the same color as the other orange lines? It looks like a slightly different shade, but it's so close that I'm not sure.

@Bobson All orange lines are the same color. -Will Power
